Embracing Autumn in Boohoo Beatrice Shirt Dress

Did summer even happen? As I'm sat here, wondering if I should turn on the heating or wear a blanket, I can barely remember more than a few hot hot summer days this year. How depressing! So instead of wishing for warmer weather, I'm just going to embrace the weather we do have!

This beautiful shirt dress just screams Autumn.

This sheer shirt dress with a dip hem and embroidery detail, comes with a little slip dress underneath that is removable so you could also wear the dress with a vest and over jeans/trousers. With 3/4 length sleeves, it was light enough to wear when the sun comes out without feeling too bulky. You can find this little Boohoo beauty here.

I did find the dress very short even though I sized up by 2 sizes, I wasn't sure if the actual length before I purchased but I like my shirt dresses oversized. I'm only 5'4 so if you are taller than me, I'd strongly suggest sizing up. x

My OOTD; Blinded by the daisies

Just like Prince once sang 'Every day is a yellow day, I'm blinded by the daisies in your yard.'

Daisy sunglasses from Coachella range at H&M

Digging through my wardrobe, I felt I needed to brighten my day with something extra bright to wear. And what better colour than bright yellow! It had to be this gorgeous Boohoo.com Bardot frill dress, with its flouncy neckline and flowy jersey fabric. Although this is no longer available, there is a black version available here and in pink here. There are many other beautiful yellow pieces around at the moment. Whether it's a top, a dress or just a statement necklace, I'm just loving the sunshine shade.

Here's just few that I found that I love!

Long Goth Summer ft Boohoo

Now I'm all for a bit of colour. One look at me and it's pretty obvious! But I do love a full on black outfit. Whether it's a simple leggings/top combo or a full back maxi, sometimes head to toe black is just the order of the day. And even though it's warming up, I'm not about to ditch my inner 14 year old goth self.

Whilst doing a spot of Internet browsing, as you do, I come across a top with a sun/moon print over at Boohoo.com and did a little squeal with delight. With the choice of a vest, a top and a bodysuit, I chose the latter. I don't own many bodysuits and liked the idea of something easy to wear (bar toilet breaks, if ya get what I mean!).

I wore this with a plain stretch midi skirt from Simply Be, a sheer black kimono and black jelly heels- both from New Look.

Have you looked at sun and moon range at Boohoo? Find them here x

My Relaxed OOTD

So with 2015 coming to a close and after a whole social media meltdown regarding a well known plus brand lastnight, I have spent the day with my family, doing the every day things. I decided to not reflect back on my year, not to focus on the year ahead and not get caught up with who said what and when.
I made the big mistake of going out on New Years Eve. The shops were packed and the weather was crap! But...I looked cute.

The wind and rain won, my hair did not last!

As I was going shopping, I needed comfort and casual. I always opt for jeans or leggings. These are old ones from Asda that I cut at the knee for a more distressed look. The long sleeve T shirt was from an EBay shop, it says 'Rydell High School' which is a nod to one of my favourite films Grease. I wore my Boohoo college style jacket to keep in with the retro preppy look.

This simple outfit consists of;

Jacket; Boohoo.com
Raglan sleeve top; eBay
Skinny jeans; Asda
Plimsolls; Everything5pounds

Boohoo Nadia Maxi Dress

Today I'm wearing a whole load of VBO (visible belly outline) in the Asymmetric Maxi Dress from Nadia Aboulhosn's range at Boohoo.com
I love the bardot sleeve on this dress. I've never really worn many outfits that show my shoulders so took a chance with this dress. The main reason for buying this dress was the side split detail. It reveals a short underskirt so there is still no worry of flashing my big knickers.
I found the dress a little clingy, even though I sized up. I guess heavy duty shapewear would be needed if a VBO isn't your thing. I'm cool about such issues so I went without.

I dressed the maxi down with a pair of old gladiator sandals from Primark and a lion head necklace from H&M.
The dress can be found here x
