My Top Picks from Yours Clothing

Now, I'm here to admit something; being a 'smaller fat' I have often overlooked some stores, purely because I can shop in most high street stores that cater up to an 18. Yours Clothing was a shop that although catered to my size and bigger, felt that sometimes their range was just a little too tame for me. Never frumpy, just styles which I'd class as safe and not to my liking.
But then Bristol opened up their new store in The Galleries, Broadmead and I'd occasionally pop in and find an item I liked. So I'd look online and find even more!
With this in mind, I thought I'd share some of my favourite finds for Spring.

This cold shoulder sweater dress is my new go to. As a stay at home mum, it's not all glamour 24/7 and I do need something that looks good as well as being practical. I know the cold shoulder trend isn't for everyone and I know it can be frustrating if your shoulders are 'problem' area when it comes to confidence. But for me, I really don't mind them.

This gorgeous mesh bodysuit is bang on trend, with its embroidered flowers. I wore this to the opening of the new Yours store in Yate, Bristol. Teamed with a maxi skirt (old Primark) and a pair of tassled boots.

This hoody and jogger set is next on my list. Again, cold shoulders but this is just screams ultimate laid back casual and I'm all about that!

I LOVE this mesh dress. Not only would I wear it over a top and jeans but I'd also wear it over my swimwear by the pool.

What I wore to The Curve Fashion Festival 2015

Last month I was kindly given a ticket to attend The Curve Fashion Festival and for once, I went as a visitor rather than a blogger or model.
I got to speak to brands, catch up with friends, watch fashion shows and generally have a giggle.
Leading up to the day, I was getting myself into a flap over what to wear as not only did I need to be comfortable on my long coach trips there and back, but to look stylish throughout the day. To my surprise, New Look saved my skin!
was very fortunate to choose an outfit of my choice to wear on the day.

Maybe the excitement of Halloween was creeping up on me as my entire outfit was black!

I opted for the basics; coated trousers, black swing vest top, suedette waterfall jacket, tassel necklace and peep toe leather boots. Unfortunately the trousers I chose were out of stock and my own alternative didn't match the top so I chose to wear just the jacket, boots and necklace. I chose to wear a crop top from Forever 21 and an old Asos Curve polka dot mesh skirt that I had previously altered. The amazing necklace is unfortunately now out of stock but features a huge leather tassel. I'm so smitten with it and I've worn it religiously since it arrived.
The wonderful Patti Cakes and I, featured in Manchester Confidential as part of their 'best dressed' feature.

The return of #OMCZ- Shopping Trip

Outside My Comfort Zone (OMCZ) is back! I missed week one as I was simply to busy but I'm back on track! These challenges are a great way to push each of our styles in to new territories and trying something we would usually avoid.

'The next theme has more of an open feeling to it. No specific items or patterns to showcase. Just show us what you'd wear to go shopping.

This is inspired by the Shopping Trip to Birmingham organised by Nikki . Knowing what to wear on a shopping trip in the colder months can be a challenge. You want to be warm enough when you're outside but as soon as you go inside it's too hot.'

I love this theme as it shows how I dress on a daily basis! As I don't work, I don't really have a reason to dress smartly but always have to dress as practical as possible. I'm smeared with food within an hour of dressing, most days, so I'm used to having to change at least once a day.

Here's what I wear for an average shopping trip

Cream and gold fleck jumper is old New Look Inspire, leggings are H&M, bag and pumps are Primark.
I get so hot and flustered when I'm out shopping so tend to not wear a jacket. I also like to wear a black vest and leggings so that I have something plain to wear when trying on clothes.

Here's a list of other bloggers taking part in the challenge.

OOTD ft Simply Be Quilted PU mini

It feels like forever since I last blogged but I'm back! I've been a busy bee with family life, modelling jobs and a blogging event this month.

Today I thought I'd share an outfit post. Excuse me cold looking expression, I was freezing!

During January, I didn't really hit any sales for a big spending spree, rather picked up a few sale items here and there.
The top is from H&M, it features Run DMC in floral print, was a steal at only £5! It's an oversized style tee with bat wing short sleeves. The skirt is one of my faves from Simply be and can be found Here. It's a stretchy, pull on job that looks wet but is actually quilted Jersey. The cardigan is a jumble sale find, soft and thick and one of my 'go to' items in winter. My leggings are just basics from F+F and the White pumps are from New Look. My bag can be found on EBay Herexx
