Feeling Naughty-cal

What a funny old August we are having. One day its beautiful sunny, summer weather, the next its drab and dreary! With that in mind I thought I would put together an outfit that would suit either types of day.

I got this beautiful anchor skirt from Collectif  a while back but had struggled to do it up. With a recent little weight loss, it now fits a dream. I think I rely on elasticated waistbands too often and a zip up skirt was all a bit new for me! Although no longer being sold in this particular print, they do have some other amazing prints that I have my eye on, especially this one (Here) I just love how girly they make me feel and I can't resist doing the odd twirl. Plus they hide my lily white legs whist still keeping me cool when it's warm. This particular skirt is a light linen type material - hence the mood creasing. 

           So swishy!!

With the skirt, I chose a simple navy cardigan that I wrapped around myself and fastened with a safety pin. I wore this over a thin vest, I then tucked it all into the skirt and wore my Hell Bunny belt over the top to keep in place. The belts are great, not only cheap but come in an array of colours and are a good fit. They can be found here.

 Then if the weather warms up, simply take off the cardigan. Voilà!

Plus North pt2

After the Saturday day time event, full of fashion shows and shopping, came the afterparty. 

I decided to wear my new Collectif wiggle dress and burger bag- which is actually a vanity case, by an old brand called Jiggery Pokery. It was a bit of a hit amongst the other party attendees. 

I kept my flats on that I had worn during the day as they were pretty comfortable.

After a welcome drink and quiz, we drank and danced until the very end. Was so nice to be surround by fellow babes without being judged or sneered at. A nice end to what was a great day.

The final day consisted of more fashion with Curvy Kate and MSSVG showing off their wares, workshops and a clothes swap. Unfortunately I could only stay for the swap as I had my coach to get. 

I will write up a separate post on the clothes I got at the swap as I absolutely loved it!! 

In all I loved my weekend away, being a 'model', hanging with familiar faces, meeting new ones and leaving with a little more spring in my step having gained more confidence being around like minded girls who complimented each other. I couldn't recommend these types of events enough. 

Hyper Japan ootd

This month I took my daughter to the amazing Hyper Japan at Earls Court. It's aJapanese culture event showcasing latest video games, street fashion, sushi demos, food and stalls. 

As my daughter decided to dress up (cosplay), I thought I would let her outfit shine and just chaperone her as 'cool mum' so no dress up for me *boo*.

Here's what I wore;

I rolled my fringe as it was both raining and hot so to avoid frizz, I thought this was the best option. I kept eye make up simple and wore Mac in Ruby woo
